Recently, Integrity Technology Solutions was selected as the Member Spotlight in the Employers' Association (www.eaconnect.com) bulletin. We've provided that article below. I hope you enjoy learning a little more about our business, our people and our mission.
Explain the origins of Integrity Technology Solutions and what services you provide today.
Integrity Technology Solutions started in 1993 as Bloomington Computer Service Company by Harlan Geiser and Ken Pierson. In 2000, Mr. Geiser purchased Mr. Pierson's interest in the company and is now the sole owner of the company. What began with a team of 6 has developed into a team of 30 talented employees who are dedicated to helping our clients.
Integrity Technology Solutions provides outsourced IT services and consulting services to clients in Illinois. For clients without an IT department, we are their IT department. For clients with an IT department, we can fill the gaps where they might not have the time or expertise. We also provide Business Intelligence solutions-the retrieval of critical data and information-which assist business owners and executives in making business decisions.
By outsourcing IT, our clients are able to focus on their own business and business results, rather than focusing on technology. We take a proactive approach to keeping our clients systems available and protected-this keeps technology from being a distraction to a business. Our Business Intelligence service offering blends technology consulting and business consulting. The result is that our clients have critical information and data at their fingertips in real-time, allowing them to make important business decisions quickly and with accurate information.
The Integrity Technology Solutions' Relay for Life team has been busy this month raising money for the American Cancer Society. To our delight, we discovered that the Easter Bunny is also a big supporter of Relay for Life and she (did you know the Easter Bunny was female?) signed on to help our efforts. Armed with the largest basket in Illinois (provided by Rita Lackovich), the bunny and her chauffer made their way to area businesses to sell Easter eggs and raise money. The eggs were filled with jelly beans and the possibility of winning one of the great prizes that were donated by area businesses.

Keep Data Safe on the Road: 12 Tips

How safe is the data on your employee's laptops and mobile devices when they're out of the office?
If you answered, "not very" you're probably right.
An astounding 81 percent of companies polled by the Ponemon Institute in 2007 reported the loss of one or more laptop computers containing sensitive information during the previous year.
"Concern over information loss has increased," says Robert Siciliano, chief executive of IDTheftSecurity.com and author of "The Safety Minute: Living on High Alert" (Safety Zone Pr, 2003). "But not enough to stop it."
Why not? Many small businesses believe a security breach won't happen to them or to their employees. The excuses range from, "Who would be interested in our data, anyway?" to, "It wouldn't affect the company."
But those are just excuses, say experts. The reality is that every time you or your employees leave the office, they're putting your company's important data at risk. Unless you take precautions now, you could end up compromising that information and possibly damaging your company.

Employee Spotlight - Mark DeKeersgieter
Celebrating his second year with Integrity this month, Mark DeKeersgieter has proven himself to be a great resource for many businesses in Central Illinois. His out-going personality and remarkable acumen in business have been a great asset to Integrity and to our clients.
He is very active in McLean County and serves as the Board President of marcfirst, Vice President of the McLean County Chamber of Commerce and Treasurer at ABC Counseling and Family Services.
Mark enjoys biking in his spare time and spending time with his family. His voice is often heard throughout the Integrity Technology Solutions' office as he praises his coworkers' accomplishments with a boisterous KAPOW!!
