Certification
Through a series of formal
tests, the SIF Certification Program validates
and confirms that software applications properly implement the
SIF specification. A SIF-certified system can
be easily integrated with other SIF-certified systems.
SIF Vendor Members
SIF vendor members are the
educational technology companies who have pledged their support
of and commitment to the success of SIF. Members work together
to help shape the organization and develop new versions of the
SIF specification documents. Integrity Technology Solutions is
a member of SIF and works closely with other SIF members to ensure
the success of your integration.

SIF-Certified
Applications
A software program which successfully completes the SIF Certification
Program will be able to display the 'SIF Certified' logo on
its promotional materials. This logo is your indication that
this particular version of the software program has been tested
and certified to communicate and share information with other
SIF-certified programs. Each SIF-certified vendor must continue to keep their
application in conformance with the specification throughout the duration of
their certification period.
Schools and districts can choose their systems from a variety
of SIF-certified applications, depending on their academic and
administrative needs. The list of SIF-certified applications
is available on the Open
Group Web site.
Integrating Non-SIF-Certified Applications
While including only SIF-certified applications in a SIF implementation
proves to be most cost-effective, other non-certified applications
can be integrated into the SIF Zone as well. The staff of Integrity
